Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Oven & Pan

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly coat a 5×9-inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.

Step 2: Sauté the Vegetables

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic. Sauté for 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are softened and translucent. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly before adding it to the meat mixture.

Step 3: Mix the Meatloaf

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef (or turkey), breadcrumbs, beaten eggs, sautéed vegetables, Lipton Onion Soup Mix, onion powder, garlic pepper, Italian seasoning, Kinder’s The Blend, and Worcestershire sauce.

Using clean hands or a large spoon, gently mix everything together until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix, as this can make the meatloaf dense and tough.

Step 4: Shape & Bake

Transfer the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan. Gently press and shape it into an even loaf. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes.

Step 5: Make the Glaze

While the meatloaf is baking, prepare the glaze. In a medium bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth and well combined.

Step 6: Glaze & Finish Baking

After 45 minutes, carefully remove the meatloaf from the oven. Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf, allowing some of it to drip down the sides.

Return the meatloaf to the oven and continue baking for an additional 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F for beef or 165°F for turkey.

The glaze should be thick, glossy, and slightly caramelized.

Step 7: Rest & Serve

Remove the meatloaf from the oven and allow it to rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing. (This helps the juices redistribute and makes for cleaner slices.)

Slice and serve warm with mashed potatoes, green beans, mac and cheese, or your favorite comfort-food sides.
