Ingredients

For the Meatloaf

  • 2 pounds ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion diced
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper diced (any color)
  • 3 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 packet Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic pepper seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Kinder’s The Blend Seasoning
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 large eggs beaten

For the Glaze

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup yellow mustard
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

Prepare the Oven and Pan

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly coat a 5x9-inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.

Sauté the Vegetables

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic. Sauté for 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are softened and translucent.
  • Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly before adding it to the meat mixture.

Mix the Meatloaf

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef (or turkey), breadcrumbs, beaten eggs, sautéed vegetables, Lipton Onion Soup Mix, onion powder, garlic pepper, Italian seasoning, Kinder’s The Blend, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Using clean hands or a large spoon, gently mix everything together until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the meatloaf dense and tough.

Shape and Bake

  • Transfer the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan. Gently press and shape it into an even loaf.
  • Bake uncovered for 45 minutes.

Make the Glaze

  • While the meatloaf is baking, prepare the glaze.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth and well combined.

Glaze and Finish Baking

  • After 45 minutes, carefully remove the meatloaf from the oven.
  • Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf, allowing some of it to drip down the sides.
  • Return the meatloaf to the oven and continue baking for an additional 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F for beef or 165°F for turkey.
  • The glaze should be thick, glossy, and slightly caramelized.

Rest and Serve

  • Remove the meatloaf from the oven and allow it to rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing. This helps the juices redistribute and makes for cleaner slices.
  • Slice and serve warm with mashed potatoes, green beans, mac and cheese, or your favorite comfort-food sides.
