Viral Mac and Cheese Lasagna

Ingredients
For the Meat Layer

Salt and pepper to taste

marinara or spaghetti sauce
For the Mac & Cheese
16
oz
elbow macaroni
4
tbsp
butter
3
tbsp
flour
3
cups
milk
2
cups
sharp cheddar cheese
shredded
2
cups
mozzarella cheese
shredded
1
cup
Colby Jack cheese
shredded
Salt and pepper to taste
For Assembly

cups
mozzarella cheese
shredded
1
cup
cheddar cheese
shredded
½
cup
Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Make the Meat Sauce
Brown the ground beef and onions. Drain excess grease.
Add garlic and seasonings. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
Make the Mac & Cheese
Cook macaroni until al dente and drain.
Melt butter in a large pot. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
Slowly add milk and whisk until thickened.
Stir in cheeses until smooth. Mix in the cooked macaroni.
Layer It Up
In a greased 9x13 baking dish
Layer 1: Half of the mac & cheese
Layer 2: Half of the meat sauce
Layer 3: Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar
Repeat layers & then top with remaining cheeses and Parmesan
Bake
Bake at 375°F for 25–30 minutes until bubbly. Then broil for 2–3 minutes for a golden cheesy crust.
